LWAA Launches Statewide Tee Shirt Giveaway Program

"I Got Caught Wearing My Life Jacket" is a program focusing on Boating Safety that started in Spring, 1999. A pilot program was initiated in several areas across the state in 1998. It received an overwhelming positive response from the public, especially from the children, who were the target of the program.

The Tee shirts will be given to kids who are "caught" wearing their life jackets by Law Enforcement Agents while patrolling our state waterways.  On the backs of these Tee shirts are the names and logos of the state-wide sponsors who provide the monies that fund this program.
