The summer is almost over and hunting season is finally in sight.  This means that Hunter Safety classes are starting all across our state.  Now is the time to get involved with your community and take part in a Hunter Safety class.  It is a great way for us, as Wildlife Agents, to be seen in a positive light by our future hunters. Many children and adults will be eager to ask questions about our profession. Hunter Safety classes are a great time for Wildlife Agents to inform the public of safe hunting practices from our point of view.  We can take the time to show the public that we want safe and informed hunters in the field.  Topics in the class will include ethics, wildlife identification, firearms, and survival.  Schedule yourself some time to take part in these classes and enjoy educating our future.
