REGION X UPDATE By Sgt. Jubal Marceaux, Region X Representative In this edition of the magazine I would like to take the opportunity to welcome a new Cadet Enforcement Agent to Region 10, and in particular to the Refuge Patrol, Cadet LeAnn Phipps, assigned primarily to Cameron Parish / Rockefeller Refuge. We welcome her aboard and wish her good luck in her career. At this time of the year, the Refuge patrol is concentrating heavily on boating, fishing, and monitoring of littering on and near Marsh Island, State Wildlife, and Rockefeller Refuges. SWEP is concentrating their efforts on commercial shrimping. Strike force continues to work the coastal regions assisting the agents in these areas. In conclusion, I would like to thank the officers and representatives of the LWAA that I have worked with during the last four years in my tenure as a representative. I would also like to thank the agents of Region 10 for their contributions of articles and photographs. I want to mention that the progress and direction I see the Association taking is a positive one. The strides that the Association, in conjunction with Headquarters Administration, has made for Enforcement Agents are quite substantial. I encourage all the agents to continue to participate and work together to further promote Enforcement Agents. Finally, I wish good luck to the agents who will serve as representatives after me and offer my help to them in whatever way I can.
