The wives and other family members were invited to attend this memorial service held by The Louisiana Wildlife Agents’ Association (LWAA) Honor Guard. These special guests included Karen Aycock, Clay Aycock and Zack Aycock, wife and sons of Agent Ken Aycock; Nancy Henderson and Carrie Grace Henderson, wife and daughter of Agent Buddy Henderson; Jeanette Dodge, Richey Dodge and Jennifer Dodge, wife, son and daughter of Agent Rickey Dodge.

Highlights of this special memorial ceremony included the reading of a proclamation by Master Of Ceremonies, Lieutenant Colonel Charlie Clark, from Governor Mike Foster, in which he declared the day as “National Law Enforcement Memorial Day”.

The LWAA Honor Guard members then read the inscriptions on each plaque and presented them to the wives of the fallen officers. The children of each of these agents were also recognized and presented with their own memorial plaques. The ceremony ended with the playing of Taps and the lowering of the American Flag to half-mast.
